The University of Virginia’s Office of Youth Protection does not specifically endorse third-party resources listed or linked here, however, offers them as a springboard for those creating, offering, and implementing youth programming.

Report Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect

All members of the University community who, in their professional or official capacity have reason to suspect child abuse or neglect, must report the matter immediately to the Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) toll-free child abuse and neglect hotline, 1-800-552-7096.

After making a report to the Department of Social Services, notify the University of Virginia Office of Youth Protection via Just Report It, the University’s centralized incident reporting website.
